Standing at
the Edge of the Earth
Jackson Heights, NYC
January 24, 2006
I'm standing at the edge of the earth.
The twilight is shining down below.
I am alone and I am with all the world I need.
This lively blue is keeping me voraciously alive.
I am falling towards center,
And this center is opening up its mouth
While a big, jolly piece of chocolate is melting,
Melting on the edge of existence.
I'm so silly and my belly's being tickled.
I'm cackling cause it feels so good.
You're watching all this from a distance
And I don't care that I will never know who you are.
Still falling and I
know that nothing will break my fall.
I swim to the center of this ocean
And I don't care that I'll never feel the shore again.
It's a tremendous high and no substance was required.
